844 Leads, 7 Countries, 30 Days: Our AI Marketing Automation Playbook

In January 2026, we set ourselves a challenge: generate as many qualified leads as possible in 30 days, across multiple countries, using AI automation for every step of the process. The result: 844 leads scraped, 235 personalized emails sent, and active conversations with businesses in Kenya, Canada, UK, Australia, Ireland, Florida, Georgia, and California. Here's the complete playbook — every tool, every step, every lesson learned.

The system architecture

Our AI marketing automation system has five stages, each powered by different AI tools:

  • Stage 1: Lead Discovery — AI-powered scraping of Google Maps, business directories, and industry-specific databases. We target businesses with no website or outdated websites.
  • Stage 2: Lead Enrichment — Automated extraction of business name, owner name, phone, email, address, Google reviews, and social media profiles.
  • Stage 3: Demo Site Generation — For website leads, we auto-generate a custom demo site specific to their business and deploy it to a live URL.
  • Stage 4: Personalized Outreach — AI generates hyper-personalized cold emails referencing the prospect's specific business, reviews, location, and pain points.
  • Stage 5: Follow-up & Nurture — Automated follow-up sequences, reply classification, and lead scoring.

Stage 1: Finding the right leads

We don't blast 10,000 random businesses. We use AI to find businesses that specifically need what we offer. For our website service, that means businesses with no website, a broken website, or a website that hasn't been updated since 2019.

Our scraping pipeline uses Google Maps data enriched with review analysis. A beauty salon with 200 Google reviews but no website? That's a high-intent lead — they clearly have customers but are leaving online growth on the table.

Stage 2: Enrichment that actually matters

Raw leads are useless without context. Our enrichment pipeline extracts:

  • Business owner's first name (for personalization)
  • Google review count and average rating (social proof indicator)
  • Whether they have an existing website (and its quality)
  • Social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Physical address (for local relevance)
  • Business category and specific services offered

Stage 3: The demo site secret weapon

This is our unfair advantage. Instead of telling prospects 'we can build you a website,' we show them. Within hours of scraping a lead, our system generates a custom demo website for their specific business — with their business name, their services, their area — and deploys it to a live URL.

When they receive our email, they can click a link and see exactly what their new website would look like. Not a mockup. Not a screenshot. A live, functional website. Conversion rates on emails with demo sites are 3-5x higher than standard cold emails.

Show, don't tell. A live demo site converts 3-5x better than any sales pitch. The prospect can see their future before they spend a dollar.

Stage 4: Personalization at scale

Every email we send references something specific about the prospect's business. If they have 4.8 stars on Google, we mention it. If their competitor has a better website, we reference it. If they're in a seasonal industry, we time the outreach accordingly.

AI makes this possible at scale. A human copywriter might personalize 10-20 emails per day. Our system generates 50-100 hyper-personalized emails per hour. Each one reads like it was written specifically for that business — because it was.

Second, we'd add SMS as a follow-up channel alongside email. Third, we'd build a referral mechanism into the demo sites so satisfied prospects can share with other business owners.
